Heartburn: While heartburn in pregnancy is very common, it is not associated with a cold sensation. Pay  attention to the timing of this and mention it to your OB provider. If you are having heartburn 2 or more times a week, something stronger that Tums (calcium carbonate) would be indicated.

i have a cold sensation in my right abdominal area. wondering if i have some sort of internal issue. no pain but concerning. between rib and hip?

Possible nerve pinch: The sensation of cold can occur do to a pinched nerve in the back or other Orthopaedic problem. I would advise you see you PCP for further evaluation.

feeling extremely tired and cold, difficulty w/moving and staying awake, slow hr but sensation of palpitations, abdominal pain/bloating/nausea, no urine. previous severe post-workout shoulder muscle pain seems to fade. is this rhabdo in nml recovery?

: Lack of urine is a major concern. It would be prudent to go to an ER to address the matter. It may be just dehydration, but given your other symptoms, it requires attention immediately.

my belly buttons feels very cold and almost like a slight burning sensation.it doesn't spread anywhere else on my stomach just around my belly button?

Cold,burning: Frequently there is slight inflammation of the umbilical and I would check for mild redness or slight odor in the area. If none is present, perhaps there is some minor irritability of the superficial nerves around the umbilical area. In any event it doesn't appear to be a significant problem. Keep the umbilicus clean and dry.

when should stomach pain warrant a trip to the doctor? my husband keeps getting a bloating sensation that last for hours and he starts sweating and then gets cold. he feels like he needs to burp or have a bowel but can't. laying down is worse?

: There could be many reasons for this eg, gas, reflux, hiatal hernia, gall bladder problem. Best to see a GI doc . OTC meds like pepto-bismol, gasex may  help . Hope he does well

Bowels: I hate to assume...But the nature of this question indicates you are not pregnant? A kicking sensation may be precipitated by movement of the bowels...A sharp peristaltic movement or feeling fluids moving could mimic "kicking".Beyond the typically medical..There is evidence that empathic sensations do occur between people as well. You may actually feel someone else's sensation.

Accepted Answer

Many possibilities: Several problems could cause abdominal burning sensation but the most common would be stomach irritation (gastritis) or even stomach ulcers. Also possible would be gallbladder problems, cramps, or other intestinal problems. You may need upper endoscopy (egd)which is very effective at diagnosing ulcers and gastritis and is a quick 5 minute procedure done with light IV sedation.
