i used arm and hammer talcum body powder on my feet for like 6 months. didnt know the risks, but havent used it in almost a year. am i now at a higher risk for ovarian cancer? :(?

: No risk at all. The connection between ovarian cancer and talcum powder is from use in the genital area or directly in the vagina. There is no risk from using it on the feet or elsewhere on the body. And the risk primarily involved older versions of talcum powder that also contained small amounts of asbestos, which hasn't been sold in the US for many years.

i am 39yrs old w/ osteoporosis  due ovarian cancer when i was 27. i am 127lbs/5'2 want to join the gym & need to know what to do. also have a bad foot?

See a podiatrist: A podiatrist can advise you on your foot issues.  With osteoporosis, you may not want to jump head first into weightbearing activities and risk a stress fracture.  Make sure you have shoes that fit, are in good shape, and will provide support and cushioning for your feet.  Insoles/and or arch supports might be a good idea.  Good luck!

HCG diet w/o proof: Regardless of whether you've fought off cancer or not, there is no accepted proof of safety & effectiveness regarding HCG diet. Check out http://www.Mayoclinic.Com/health/hcg-diet/an02091 & http://www.Webmd.Com/diet/features/truth-about-hcg-for-weight-loss. So save your money & spend it on healthy food & regular exercise. Check out mediterranean diet which has plenty of evidence of benefit.

does ovarian cancer cause leg numbness and foot swelling?

Possibly : If it has metastasized to other parts of the body such as the spinal cord, then there is a possibility. I would ask your oncologist to look further into this if you are having numbness in your legs and feet. Also if you are getting chemo therapy, this may be the cause of the swelling and numbness in your legs and feet vs the cancer. However, do ask you doctor who is treating you.

Yes: I will probably take heat for this but I am one of those doctors that believes in the HCG diet. I've not seen any patient have trouble or deleterious health effects from this weight loss. If followed, weight loss does occur. Most gain their weight back afterwards because they don't follow a maintenance plan for the 3 weeks after finishing hcg. If you do, the weight stays off.

Ovarian cancer: The average age of a woman with ovarian cancer in the us is 62-63.  In women with a family history, women with brca1 mutations usually get cancer earlier and women with brca2 mutations get ovarian cancer at a later age.

need help when ovarian cancer recurs, what kind(s) of cancer is it most likely to be?

The same cancer: Recurrence means that it's the same cancer that has come back.  While it may come back in a different place in the abdomen-- the cell type is the same regardless even if the ovaries are no longer there.  A biopsy will show if the recurrence is consistent with the original cancer.

Ovarian cancer: The time frame for development of clinically recognizable cancer is generally on the order of months to years for most ovarian cancers. Your symptoms could be due to several other things though, so be sure to inform your doctor on the next visit and have them evaluated.

the ridge in between my thighs and my groin has this little bump that i can feel, never had it before, today, all of a sudden it just hurt randomly. hoping its not ovarian cancer or cyst. because the bump is not close to the ovaries. thank you! ?

See dermatologist: good possibility that this is a small benign growth such as a skin tag, wart, or epidermal papilloma. see derm for confirmation and poss tx
