Can cause gi problem: Colchibe and indomethscin both can cause GI distress. Also problematic for patients with kidney disease.

Interaction: Your pharmacist can be very helpful in answering any questions related to your medications. If you're under effective treatment for gout, you shouldn't have any gout flares. If you do and only took colchicine for a few doses,I wouldn't expect a major problem because you also take xarelto daily. Your pharmacist can confirm this for you.

is colchicine safe to take with niacin and prozac (fluoxetine). i mean are there any adverse reactions or interactions?

Should be: Niacin is metabolized in the liver. So is Prozac (fluoxetine) and doses adusted and monitered. The Niacin can cause gout and colchcine is used  to treat this. Colchacine is metabolized and excreted thru the kidneys.  If your doctor and you follow up regularly and labs ekg etc done you should be ok.

Influenza?: Your symptoms suggest a bad cold or influenza; see a doctor and get tested and perhaps treated for flu. If it's flu, oseltamivir (Tamiflu) will help -- far more than thyme tea, which is not known to be effective against these or any other symptoms. Thyme would be safe with tylenol, but only the tylenol will provide any relief.

i take a asprin a day and now i am feeling sick swollen glands low grade fever etc. can intake advil or tylenol (acetaminophen) ? don't know any interactions

Tylenol (acetaminophen) OK: It's perfectly fine to take tylenol (acetaminophen) if you are taking aspirin, and short term would be ok to take some Ibuprofen although you don't want to be mixing nsaid's long term as it can lead to a lot of GI upset. Make sure to rest more and drink plenty of fluids.

Source of pain?: Hard to say without a thorough history and exam.  Need to get to the triggers of your pain so you can hopefully quit having to take the Tylenol (acetaminophen).  Could be a reaction to the Tylenol (acetaminophen), possibly, but unsure.  See a Dr.

Gout?: Colchicine is used to lower uric acid not for fibromyalgia--if fibro is her DX she needs to try other meds.

Many: The most common side effects of Colchicine involve the stomach and bowel and are dose related. These include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. One of the most worrisome side effects of Colchicine is that it can damage the bone marrow causing severe anemia and seriously low white blood counts, thereby increasing the risk of infections.
