A few options: Over-the-counter Hydrocortisone cream or ointment may help mild eczema. Prescription steroid cream may be needed for more severe eczema. Prescription-strength moisturizers (these replace the barrier of the skin) iclude hylatopic plus, mimyx, and epiceram. If it's mild, i typically give samples of cetaphil.

: Unsweetened coconut water has 9.5 grams of sugar and sweetened coconut water has 18 gram of sugar. Two or three cups of    
  unsweetened coconut is good but no more.  Sweetened coconut water is bad for teeth ,too much sugar. and both can cause an increase in potassium levels but are low in calories and sodium.

hi, i have acid reflux problem. im taking nexium (esomeprazole) 1 tablet every  day. aloe vera  juice  and coconut  water  is good for that ?

DGL: DGL is licorice w/an enzyme removed which could raise BP if taken over a long period of time.  DGL is used as a natural replacement for acid blockers.  It coats the stomach and esophagus.  Peace and good health.  If you are on an acid blocker and switch (ask doc first) you may have a rebound effect for a while.

im in xareltro, my doctor didnt explain it very well, i know i cant have grapefruit, but can i have like coconut water and protein and protein shakes, im trying to stay fit and healthy but dont want to mess up my medicine either. vitimans?

: Unless you have a specific deficiency, routine vitamin usage is not necessary. Xareltro does not get in the way of maintaining adequate nutrition whatsoever. Eat a varied, good nutritional diet and you will meet your needs adequately. Good luck.

can some table salt(sodium chloride) be mixed wid fresh unsweetened coconut water safely to make electrolyte drink?can this fix the low sodium/high potassium makeup of coconut water?and make it better balanced in getting sodium&potassium chloride?

: Adding table salt to fresh coconut water will not be harmful, but just adding an occasional balanced electrolyte drink like Gatorade or Pediolyte will restore any unbalance in sodium/potassium without altering the taste of the coconut water.

Dry skin : eczema needs hydration to prevent rashes. The heavier the moisture the better it is. The best include ointments followed by creams followed by lotions. Oils can also be hydrating including coconut oil. Best application is after bathing while you are still wet. Reapply miusturizer at least 2/day

i have a daughter with eczema, we put coconut oil on her as well baby oil and it has made her worse. she has broken out with near hives. any thoughts?

See a dermatologist: A long soak in a bath or shower can be followed immediately by application of a ceramide cream or ointment. Forget about coconut or any other fruit. She needs professional care and a prescription cortisone. Eczema is not an allergy and not due to "stress". When you go, bring ALL products used during the last 6 months. Discuss ALL meds, herbs, etc.

Counter-irritant: The hot water stimulates the skin to counter-act with the itch of eczema. However, hot water can be dangerous as it could cause a burn. It would prudent for you to see a dermatologist for better tx.

Natural soaps: Try natural soaps such as dr. Bonner's castile soap--unscented or scented; also you can try to limit the length, duration, and type of baths.  Shorter cooler baths less often help to maintain the moisture in the skin.

No.: There are probably numerous causes of eczema, but there's no evidence that tap water will cause it, no matter how hard it is. A strong soap will wash the natural oils off of your child's skin and worsen the eczema, however.
