Soft tissue grinding: Grinding can be due to soft tissues or irregularities in the knee.  Most often, they are benign and painless causes of knee grinding.  If the grinding causes pain or inhibits function, then it warrants and evaluation.

Knee pains: can come from a long list of possibilities.  If it persists or if there is instability of your knee, you need to see an orthopedic surgeon who can review your history and perform an exam of the concerning area.  If there is not history of trauma or instability, you could also see a rheumatologist who can evaluate you for other causes of knee pain.

i've been feeling a moderate pain, just below knee, on the lateral side, that is worst when i get down ? what to do ?

Did you have any: trauma to the area? That doesn't happen spontaneously unless you have lower back, hip issues or shin/ankle issues too. Were you playing sports? Might be good to have it checked by your PCP and examined as it could easily be from strain from lifting weights or working out at the gym, or lifting heavy equipment. In either case, it's easy to remedy too. So see your doctor first.

how long does it take for nerves to grow back from a bilateral release on knee? had one a yr and 5 months ago, my knee has been feeling better lately

Patience!: First the good news:  peripheral nerves are capable of growth and repair even after being severed.  However, the process is very slow and is often incomplete.  They grow at a rate of 1 mm a day, or about an inch a month or a foot per year.  There is nothing that will make the nerves grow faster.  Good luck!

i started coughing tonight and  thought it was just something going around. later, i started feeling weak and my knees feel funny. should i concerned?

Flu like symptoms: Most likely is a viral infection, sounds flu like symptoms..For now just try to get a lot of rest, drink plenty of fluids, nothing much to do at this point. Keep an eye for other symptoms that can give more clue to a proper diagnosis.

i need help. why does my knee painfully pop and feels unstable. i just had lateral subtotal meniscusectomy. i am feeling the pain on the lateral side ?

Knee Pain: Good evening;
If I had ongoing symptoms after knee surgery, I would return to the orthopedist who performed the meniscusectomy. However, a second opinion is warranted in this situation. In NYC there are orthopedists  who specialize in knee pathology. Find one and have a consultation!

my knee feels like its going to pop out of its socket. its not incredibly painful, but there is pain.i have not done anything to it that i know of.  what do i do to stop it feeling like its going to pop out?

You need to be: examined to figure this out. You may need x-rays as well. Most likely physical therapy will be sufficient to treat this but make the diagnosis first. Make an appointment with a health care provider for this as soon as possible.
