No.: You haven’t said what your doses are or what time. If you take them both at bedtime, then you increase the risk of behavioral and cognitive adverse effects, which zolpidem is notorious for. (Above all, don’t add alcohol.) And there can be a first time, when problems haven’t happened previously. Instead, discuss with your prescriber an alternative approach to your sleep problem.

Cloneazepam ambien (zolpidem): wow you are taking two medications that work on the Benzo receptor. Your Ambien (zolpidem) is far too high and current recommendation is that ambien (zolpidem) should not exceed 6.25mg and only to be used short duration. So I guess its not okay to use both at the same time.

i take a tiny bit of suboxone each day & am prescribed 2mg klonopin/day but ran out of my ambien (zolpidem). can i take 1 more 1mg klonopin to help me sleep2nite?

Your thinking of taking"30-40mg of Zolpiderm" seems to indicate your desperation  when maximum dose is 10mg.

how to keep ambien (zolpidem) working? only med that has ever worked for me. will it have cross tolerance with other meds like klonopin? i know it's short term but the belsomra rx i was given doesn't look promising at all.

Zolpidem,"Belsomra"]: Belsomra hit the market less than a year ago.  I am wary of psychoactive drugs of a new class which have not been extensively studied.  I despise drug companies overpricing their meds like this one (&gt;$270 for 30 tabs), with coupons. The FDA will OK a new drug for study, but will rely on people reporting bad side effects not originally listed--sometimes so severe the drug will be withdrawn.

Both are effective: Clonazepam can help you  to fall a sleep fast and maintain the sleep longer. Hence, have less fatigue in the morning.  Ambien (zolpidem) is a prescription drug for the short-term treatment of insomnia. It is a short-acting nonbenzodiazepine hypnotic. 
Rec. See your pcp for more information and proper treatment that will address your needs.

Yes: Trazodone is a an antidepressant which is often added at bedtime for it's sedating effect to help insomnia. It is non-addicting, therefore preferred for longer term use. The 25 mg dose is low and reasonable. Your mood may also improve. Hope this helps.

3 weeks: Ambien (zolpidem) may be used for up to 3 weeks.  Trazadone can be used long term.

is it dangerous to take 2 mg of klonopin, 10 mg of ambien (zolpidem) and 50 mg of trazodone all within a half hour in order to sleep? i'm a 140 lb woman.

Not a good idea: Research consistently shows that taking sleeping medicines like Ambien (zolpidem) plus benzodiazepines like Klonopin increase risk for bad things like falling &amp; breaking hips. Confusion, car accidents, etc too. Trazodone is also sedating. All in all, a very bad combination from my perspective. FDA recently limited new prescriptions of Ambien (zolpidem) in women to just 5mg daily. Klonopin 2mg is largest dose too.
