Paradoxical?: You need to reduce the dose very slowly  over several weeks' time. The speed on the reduction should be gauged based on your symptoms. One study suggests that 25% decrease  per week may be a reasonable approach.

It is a med that U-: -need to wean your self off of. Gradually decrease the dose over a month and your body will no longer crave it. By that I mean it's a med that is addicting for your body and withdrawal will happen if suddenly stopped. This should be a done under the care of your treating physician.

Cyclobenzaprine: Most muscle relaxants exert their effects centrally by diminishing the tonic flow of impulses to skeletal muscles. Cyclobenzaprine is particularly interesting for it is structurally and pharmacologically related to the tricyclic antidepressants. Hope it helps.

: High dose baclofen can cause weakness, especially if delivered via a Baclofen Pump.  Often low dose oral baclofen is helpful and better tolerated than higher levels.  Suggest you and your doctor titrate upwards or downwards to achieve best outcome with minimal adverse effects.

Do not believe so: I am not aware of any scientific study thatprove or disprove the theory that muscle relaxants destroy muscle tissue.They are many different muscle relaxants and each one has particular side effects related to they chemical properties, however I do not believe that destroing muscle tissue is one of them.

Muscle relaxants: Medications which work by blocking the chemical ( acetylcholine) release by the nerve from activating the muscle to contract. Eg Botox prevents nerve ending from making the acetylcholine.hence the muscle is prevented from contracting

Just a few days: Muscle relaxants can become addictive.  For acute injury, they should be used for just a handful of days.  Thereafter, their benefit diminishes, and they should be stopped.  For certain neurological conditions long term use may be required, but should be done under close supervision with your physician.

No: Unfortunately no, not that i'm aware of.  Over the counter, your options for pain are tylenol, (acetaminophen) Ibuprofen (aka advil or motrin), and naprosyn (aka aleve).  There are many topical over the counter treatments too, such as aspercreme and capsaicin cream.  Good luck!
