Yes,it's safe: As the recurrence possibility is there if your doctor thinks it is ideal better to go for it. Improving local hygeine can reduce the occurance on the other side.

is it safe to place a warm green tea bag on the inside of my labia to use as a compress for a small cyst?

Yes: the use of a warm tea bag to aide in a cyst has no particular adverse effects. However if you are developing an infection or abscess the tea will not resolve that and yo will need antibiotics and possible opening of the cyst to drain the infection.

Dermoid Cyst: To remove a dermoid cyst, the doctor will clean the area over which the cyst is located, inject a local anesthetic, and make an incision directly over the cyst and attempt remove it completely.

Almost certainly: Hi. You are almost certainly safe waiting 2 months to see the endo. Glands like yours are very unlikely to be cancer. I would assume your primary care doc has checked your thyroid function before referring you, and you've obviously had a thyroid ultrasound. Please bring any data (labs, ultrasound, etc) with you to the endo appointment. Statistically, that thyroid isn't likely to cause trouble.

Cyst Removal: I assume you are talking about a cyst under the skin somewhere.  Yes, it hurts.  But not badly.  We use lidocaine to numb the area so you get a couple of shots with a small sharp needle.  That is the only pain you feel.  We then remove the cyst and sew up the skin.  It will be sore for a few days.

Myofascial release: Where are the cyst? Ovarian?
If you were a traditional surgical case your cyst would have been removed thus eliminating your pain. Since it has been 8 years, I am guessing, you have a stubborn myofascial pain syndrome which will require release therapy. With massage, acupuncture, trigger points, cold laser and treatment for the central nervous system trauma of the ongoing pain syndrome.

Not really: Pilonidal cyst unless removed it does recovered 
but it can quiet down as long as it is not  infected or causing problem you should not worry problem.

If bothersome: Yes have it removed. If not bothering you there is nothing wrong with observing it for a time.

Accepted Answer

Yes and no.: Depending on it's location and nature, it may be possible to drain a cyst without surgery.  However that is not usually curative, and it may reaccumulate fluid quickly and still need to be removed surgically.  You should talk with your physician about what options you may have.
