Subacromial bursitis: Most likely it is a bursa which is inflamed but there may also be a rotator cuff issue or biciptal tendonitis - if not treated in timely fashion - may result in frozen shoulder - tx. May be as simple as rest or physical therapy or steroid inj. Or combo of them all.

when i rotate my right humerus inward, or raise my arm above my head, there is always a loud clicking sound in my shoulder. it sometimes is sore. why?

Impingement syndrome: You may have impingement syndrome where your rotator cuff tendons and bursa are trapped under the scrim ion process of your scapula. You are probably too young  however a spur of bone called an osteophyte may be catching on your tendons in the subacromial space as you move. Visit an orthopaedic surgeon for an opinion and possible surgical remedy. Good luck.

i fell on my left shoulder months ago. didn't hurt but now everytime i rotate my arm i heard a click sound on the joint. is it a dislocated shoulder?

No: A dislocated shoulder would cause immediate severe pain that would only resolve after the shoulder was reduced back into the joint.  It is more likely that you damaged something within your shoulder when you had the injury.  If you tore your genius labrum, for example, it would cause similar symptoms.  Don't hesitate to be seen if you are having trouble with it.

do you think its a possibility i have tourettes? i have the symptoms to be diagnosed, i just want input. my tics since age 10: head jerk, hand flap, blinking tic, hitting arm, eye roll, sniffing, sneeze sound, click sound, tiao, wooh, etc.

That might be it.: Pediatric Neurologist can help. Some of them will see college-aged patients. Otherwise, a general Neurologist can help. Tics and Tourette Syndrome are sort of similar disorders, different degrees of severity. Unfortunately there hasn't been any good treatments, but maybe some new ones that Neurologists learn about before other doctors know about. Also, look up PANDAS (the disorder, not the bears).

: Possible emerging impingement problem such as adhesive capsulitis or rotator cuff tear.  But alternatively, there may be a problem within the brachial plexus.  Testing for hypothyroidism and diabetes plus MRI of shoulder might be approaches.  If no answer here, EMG of arm might be done to assess thoracic outlet.  First, consult with orthopedic surgeon.

Probably can't: Many joints in the body make sounds when thay are moved. This is like cracking your knuckles. Unless this causes pain or an injury occurred there is little to do to stop it.

Elbow cracking: More history is required such as trauma, age otehr associated conditions. A physical exam is in order and possibly radiologic evaluation prior to rendering an explanation.

Elbow Injury: Hi, its difficult to tell exactly what is causing your child's symptoms.  She should be evaluated in person by a sports medicine specialist to take a full history and evaluate the joint and determine the need for additional imaging studies.  Hope that helps!
