Some are....: Conjugated linoleic acid is likely safe when used in amounts found in foods and is possibly safe for use in medicinal amounts (larger amounts than those found in food). It might cause side effects such as stomach upset, diarrhea, nausea, and fatigue.  There are concerns that taking conjugated linoleic acid can worsen diabetes. Avoid use in diabetics.

Because they have not found the reason why they gain weight ie possible hormone issues, high insulin, anemia...And these issues unresolved cause the same weight gain again. 2.They used an unhealthy or fad diet and burned up muscle lowering their metabolism. 3. They lost weight w/o incorp exercise, water & healthy foods into their daily lives.

I : I assume this is conjugated linoleic acid (cla) supplements.  There are no studies performed on taking cla while using oral contraceptives.  It is unlikely to cause a problem, but as there are no studies this cannot definitely be stated.  It would be reasonable to ask your pharmacist also.

OTC remedies: Where do they come up with these fancy names? Myoleptin is just conjugated linoleic acid.  Except for the cost to you, it is harmless;  it is touted for many things, but there are no proven benefits.  If you take it, don't stop your metformin, lipitor, (atorvastatin) or insulin without talking to your doctor.

Depends: Although cla has been shown to lead to weight loss, most of the supplements sold in the us are synthetic and have a mixture of the natural form and the synthetic form of cla. The synthetic form may have adverse side effects; the research is note uniform. The best source for natural cla is from grass fed cows: whole milk or yogurt and the meat. Cla has also been shown to have anticancer effects.
