See answer: Two important things. 1) repeat urinalysis and urine culture to verify that the infection/bacteria is gone. Ideally, a culture was done prior to beginning antibiotic treatment. Cultures identify the specific bacteria and report what antibiotics the bacteria are sensitive to and validate correct diagnosis; 2) obtain a renal ultrasound or preferably a ct scan to rule out abscess, stone, blockage.

Correct Way: to take antibiotics is for your prescribing doctor to decide which antibiotic you should take.  You should never have "left over" antibiotics as that means you did not follow instructions the last time.
