No, unless....: You have piriformis syndrome! i believe that injection works better than manipulation and is quicker to give relief. Some cchiropractors also have vax-d machines which may help. But serious nerve root impingement needs orthopedic or neurosurgical involvement!

Sciatica: Most episodes of sciatica get better in a relatively short time period without any treatment.  However depending on how bad the pain is, treatments including chiro, can give some temporary relief as the sciatica is naturally improving on its own.  There are some good chiros but avoid a chiro that says their treatment is "100% effective" but you have to sign up for 20 treatments .....

Sciatica: Both can treat this. If you are sure its sciatica then you must have some imaging (MRI) done - then talk to your doctor as to what is the next step eg. Chiropractor. In some states chiropractors can also order imaging.

Hip: Pain in front could be labra tear, on the side bursa pain. True sciatica at your age rare, but may need plain x-rays  first to determine.

It is better to see a physiatrist (also known as a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation doctor) or see an Orthopedic Spine doctor. Always have a primary care doctor to check for general problems, and he or she can refer to the other specialists. After seeing the doctors, Physical Therapy can often offer some help.

If you have: symptoms of a herniated disk with radiculopathy(sciatica) you should probably be evaluated by a spine specialist, which could be a neurosurgeon or orthopedic surgeon.

Shooting pain: Typically shooting pain in the leg. Occasionally through the buttocks or radiating to the hip or lower leg. Can be accompanied by burning, tingling, or numbness.
