Sciatica: Most episodes of sciatica get better in a relatively short time period without any treatment. However depending on how bad the pain is, treatments including chiro, can give some temporary relief as the sciatica is naturally improving on its own. There are some good chiros but avoid a chiro that says their treatment is "100% effective" but you have to sign up for 20 treatments .....

Chiropractor: Sciatica is due to nerve impingement. If you need an adjustment or soft tissue treatment, chiropractic therapy is good. If you pain is not improved, you can go to see a pain management doctor. You might benefit from physical therapy and injections.

Possible: Many times conservative care can include chiropractic care. if you are not better soon (less than 10-15 treatments), then consider other options like a spine fellowship trained pain specialist.
