Dairy allergy: You mean cows milk allergy.In neonatal period when cow based formula is used the babies can present with milk protein allrgy, it presents with bloody stools.Beyond newborn dairy allergy can cause rash and itcing, and some people can not tolerate milkdue to lactose intolerance which is really not allergy, but their inability to digest lactose as the have deficiency of enzyme lactase.

Many: The most common symptoms of a dairy or milk allergy or GI symptoms and skin symptoms.  Gi symptoms would be nausea, vomiting and diarrhea (with tiny amounts). Skin symptoms would be hives, itching, swelling, or flare of eczema. In infants, bloody stools can be seen.  In infants, a rare lung reaction to milk is called heiner's syndrome.  A severe milk reaction is anaphylaxis.

Stereotypical: Food allergy symptoms are the same regardless of cause. Gi: nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, tongue swelling. Cardiovascular: dizzy, sense of doom, loss of consciousness, shock, death. Combinations? That's anaphylaxis.

Alcohol Flushing: Alcohol flushing syndrome usually appears in people of Asian descent who lack the alcohol dehydrogenase enzyme which then causes a buildup in formaldehyde when you drink which causes the flushing.  In order to be allergic you have to have protein and there isn't much protein in alcohol.  It could also be a sulfite reaction if it only occurs with red wine.

Not uncommon: People with rosacea flush with alcohol intake as would be many Asians. The former is due to an inflammatory response to an increase in temperature, the latter from a deficiency in an enzyme to breakdown the alcohol.  Avoidance or reduction in consumption would be the best approach. There is reason to suspect that those who flush due to the enzyme issue may be at higher risk of cardiac disease.

If this is a: consistent reaction it may be an allergic symptom. I have no symptoms with our Bichon Frisés or our Vizsla but I do react to our Golden Retriever. Some types of dog are more likely to cause a reaction for someone who is allergic to dander. Consider seeing an allergist.
