Good hand washing and covering the wounds can prevent germ spread. The kids won't get "shingles" from your dad.

Generally: Mom + dad +2(for boys) and -2(for girls) divided by 2 then =/- 4 inches

so 5-11 =5-5 +2/2= 5ft 9 +/_ 4 inches
         (5-5 to 6-1)
  
5_11 + 5_5 - 2/2= 5 ft 7 +/- 4 inches
         (5-3 to 5-11).

Maybe: Asthma and allergic disorders are partially influenced by genes, your kids may or may not have them depending on your spouse's genes too. The environment plays a role in the development of the disease, so it is a complex issue to predict.

Could be: There is no question that genetics can play a role in the development of amd.  It is multifactorial though and just because you have a strong family history doesn't necessarily mean you will pass it down.  But your kids will need to be closely followed when they're older.

Consult neurologist: There are many reasons for seizures to manifest  in children .Some of them may be hereditary .There are different type of seizures ,some hereditary  others are not .These two children may or may not be getting same type .Consult neurologist about these children ,he can examine and explain about the risk of epilepsy in your children .

Tiny dose: One half a cc of benadryl (diphenhydramine) is a minuscule dose even for a small one year old. This is no problem!   Appropriate dosing of loratidine for this age should not cause sleepiness typically, either.

so my dad only filled his pool only half way. the pool water is not filtered. so the water is stagnant. he is however cleaning the sides with a rag and testing and using chemicals. is the water safe children to play in? bacteria? unfiltered 6 wks?

: Needs proper testing of pH etc and chlorine added. May be better to drain clean and refill and readjust but perhosp your
