I gave my one year old half of an ml of children's benadryl (diphenhydramine). i did not realize her dad gave her loratadine a few hours before. will it hurt her?

Tiny dose: One half a cc of benadryl (diphenhydramine) is a minuscule dose even for a small one year old. This is no problem! Appropriate dosing of loratidine for this age should not cause sleepiness typically, either.

Not likely.: Assuming your child is about average weight which is 10-11kg, 0.5 ml will not harm her even with the loratadine given earlier. Always be sure to communicate with other caregivers about medications, though, and keep them out of reach of toddlers.
