3 weeks ago i began noticing a lot of mucus in my stool. 2 weeks in i have bright red blood as well, 3 weeks i now have a sore front of my neck?

Blood: Get to see your doctor right away.  You could have inflammatory bowel disease or infection.

since april i've had body wide aches and pains, fatigue, hives, generally unwell and mucus in stool. bloods taken and normal. what could this be?

? Autoimmune: Routine blood tests would be normal, need to be screened for ? Autoimmune disorder, ask your doctor for rheumatology/gastroenterologist referral if feasible, good luck

Okay to wait: If the symptoms worsen such as bleeding increases, pain increases or massive diarrhea, then it would be okay to wait a few more days to see if symptoms improve on there own.  Most intestinal illnesses are self limiting and transient.  If the symptoms persist beyond 10 days then seeing your doctor is advisable.

Mucus in stool: Normal for breast fed babies, not to worry.

Mucous is unusual: Regardless of the color, mucous in stool can be a sign of infection or inflammation in the intestines.  If the stools are loose or watery, this is even more likely.  I would recommend that she see her doctor and that a stool test be done to check for a bacterial/parasitic infection or malabsorption of fats and proteins.  Tests can take 3-5 days to obtain results.

Best to see GI docto: And consider getting a colonoscopy to make sure you have no colitis. At the least, get stool studies to make sure you have no infection. Hope you feel better soon.

Testing: Time for your doctor to see you. You need blood and stool testing to determine if this is infection or chronic inflammatory disease. You may also need a colonoscopy

Depends...: Antibiotics taken for your UTI may have disturbed the bacterial flora that normally live in your gut, resulting in altered stooling and achiness. In this circumstance, on occasion, an opportunistic bacteria, c.Difficile, can infect the colon. Its best to mention your symptoms to your treating doctor--he may want a stool specimen to check and to examine you. Never ignore bleeding from the GI tract.

Depends...: A lot of things, ranging from a minor viral syndrome to a more serious gastrointestinal disorder (colitis).  Mucousy stools could be colitis, or inflammation of the colon.  Is blood present in the stools?   Bacterial colitis may require antibiotics.   Call your pediatrician.
