hello i have a little nude coloured mole on my arm. it is small as a lentil and it was circle shaped. however it began to spread and it is not exactly circle shaped anymore. when i use soap it gets dry and itches. is it malign? what do you say?

Need to examine: The general advice is that if the mole doubles in size, becomes irregular in size, shape or color, bleeds, ulcerates or develops a nodule, see a doctor. Your description warrants seeing a doctor.

Spot: Sounds like a an abscess , sebaceous cyst or some type of folliculitis. Typically a lesion of this nature would need incision and drainage. I would be seen by a provider.

See a doctor.: It is hard to diagnose a rash without seeing it. You should see a doctor who can determine the diagnosis and then prescribe the proper treatment. This could be hives, a contact rash, a bacterial infection or from a virus, among other possibilities.

Need biopsy: ER doesn't do biopsy's. U'r appointment should be with a dermatologist or a primary doc who is comfortable with skin biopsies.

: A superficial skin infection is always possible in such circumstances, the effect of which on the mole being unpredictable and depending on the actual type of mole. Seeing your doc if redness, pain or accelerated mole growth would be recommended.
