See a doctor: Pain in the rib cage can be due to costochondritis.  This is an inflammation of the cartilage where the rib meets the sternum.  If you press the spot does it hurt?  If so it could be costochondritis. See your doctor.

i had a sudden onset of chest pain in feb 2020. i had blood tests, xrays and gastronomy. result mild scoliosis. but i still have chest pain when pressed with your fingers and an intermittent sore larynx. gets worse when i talk more. cancer?

: The cause of your chest pain is unclear. I doubt that it is related to your sore/throat/?Larynx.
If the pain persists for more than 1-2 weeks, you should revisit your doctor to check you and help resolve the questions that you have raised. If it helps  you to know, I can tell you that Cancer of the Throat/Larynx rarely spreads to the bone. So the conditions you have mentioned are unrelated.

Hurts when pressed?: Pain that is worse when pressed is due to a sore superficial structure: a muscle, bone, joint, tendon, or ligament. You have a myofascial syndrome. This is not due to heart issues. Try taking an analgesic: Ibuprofen or Naproxen (instructions on the bottle).

Chest pain: If you have chest wall pain or inflammation in costochondral junctions, this can be treated with antiinflammatory drugs or local injection if necessary. To recommend something a history and physical exam is necessary and that isn't possible from here. If you are concerned see your dr.

In general: Sharp or stabbing pains are from the muscles and bones. Reproducing the pain with physical pressure usually excludes the heart as a cause. Cardiac pain is usually dull like a tooth ache. Sometimes lung pain or pain from the pleura (lining of the lungs) can be sudden sharp and brief. To be safe get checked out by a health care provider.

i can't go to a cardiologist without a referral. i went to the er two days ago with chest pain. the dr pressed around on my chest and said it probably wasn't heart related since it hurt when being pressed on. any advice on how to alleviate the pain?

NSAIDS: Tenderness in the chest wall is usually reassuring that it's not heart related.  Often, the muscles, bones or connections between them will be the source of pain.  If your primary doctor says it's OK, non steroidal anti inflammatory medications (NSAIDS), such as Naprosyn or Ibuprofen will often relieve the pain.
