tw eating disorders i purged two days ago and since then have had chest pain, sore throat, shallow breathing, a dry throat/cough, and nausea, all off and on. i was thinking of waiting it out, but im not sure thats a good idea. what should i do?

: You probably have mild oropharyngoesophageal irritation from gastric juice with repeated purge. Drink some honey warm water may sooth the area. You need to be counseled for this condition. Good luck and take care.

Anxiety: If you already had a full cardiac work up most likely your symptoms are from stress and anxiety.need to find a way yo relax like meditation,or talking to a friend about things that bothering you , or talk to a therapist, may be anti anxiety medicine in addition to meditation or prayer in addition to counseling might solve your problem

what is double pneumonia and is it contagious my grandma had it and now i'm having the symptoms chills fever chest pain sore throat also have allergie?

Dbl pneumonia: Double pneumonia means that there is infection in both lungs. It is not per se contagious - acquiring pneumonia of any type is more about the health of the host than the virulence of the infecting organism (with a few exceptions). Your symptoms could be consistent with pneumonia or pleurisy and could follow a viral infection. You should be evaluated in person - you may need blood work and a cxr.

UpperRespiratoryInfx: Sounds like you're describing an upper respiratory infection, which are mainly caused by viruses, which don't respond to antibiotics, whether you call it a cold or bronchitis. Technically speaking, chronic bronchitis (http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/bronchitis/basics/definition/con-20014956) is diagnosed after productive cough for 3mo in each of last 2yrs. If you have: chest pains , you must call your doctor and follow instructions . You have simple low risk  ambulatory procedure , effect of anesthetic  medications will wear of soon , you will be fine .

Seasonal flu: Seasonal flu it is very common viral infection. Usually the condition resolves on its own with home care. Drink water and get a good rest. If there is no improvement or sore throat is severe or lasts longer than another week, or you are getting joint pain; see your pcp for evaluation. Hope it helps.

had cholecystectomy 2 months taking sucralfate for a week for bile reflux. really bad chest pain and sore throat. how long for sucralfate to work?

1 to 2 weeks.: I would think that if the sucralfate is going to actually help, you should start noticing some improvement within 1 to 2 weeks. If you do not, then I would return to your doctor for the next step in the work up and/or the treatment of your symptoms. Good luck.

Hopefully not: If you have been coughing for a while, this could give you chest pain from the constant contraction of the muscles in your ribs.  Of course there are alot of reasons to have chest pain and if it continues you should go to the er or see your family doctor.
