i have left sided chest pain plus the area in front of my armpit where my chest goes to my shoulder when my condition gets agitated that area becomes extremely swollen and throbs and shortly after that my entire arm starts to severely hurt and throb ?

Causes of throbbing left arm pain include inflammation or growth of lymph nodes in the axilla(armpit), nerve impingement or pressure on blood vessels in the axillary region. Referral to a surgeon and neurologist may be made for further evaluation.

Chest pain left side: How old are you, is this the first episode? for how long it lasted. Did you feel dizzy, shortness of breath? palpitations, 
Did the pain went away on its own? 
I need a more comprehensive medical history. Or may go to a Dr. and have an EKG done, followed by a tread mill  test. 
I have in mind that you may had a coronary event. That requires clarification, to rule it out.

Multifactorial: See neurologist to rule out fibromyalgia. See ENT to check your vestibular function. Your pcp can run lab tests to rule out exidental chronic poisoning or vitamins deficiency or cardiac arrhithmias.  If after all of the above you are still sick consider major university for further work up. Good luck.

: Does not sound like GERD. Costo should also have some findings on physical exam. There is a good chance this is functional if other things have been found OK. Try methods of relaxation or meditation. Hope you feel better

Not cardiac: What the ER did was determine that's it's not your heart. The shoulder impingement assessment is offered as their best educated guess. Understand: from your perspective, you want the ER to tell you precisely what's wrong. From the ER's view, they simply want to rule out life threatening problems.
