Urine smell: Could depend on what you are eating or any supplements or vitamins you are taking in. Remember the urine is body's production to getting rid of toxins which is why it changes in color and smells etc.

An infection: Might represent an infection or medicine or vitamin eliminated with the urine. Any pain? If there is pain than is an infection. Any med introduced over the last month. If cannot clarify this way need a urinalysis, see a doc.

i had protected sex but the condom slipped inside of me. i was scared of precum so i took planb in the first 12hrs. i spotted the next day, but my urine is now cloudy with a very strong chemical smell. is my urine a cause of concern?

: If a urinalysis with a microscopic examination of the sediment and a urine culture were all completely normal or negative, the odor isn't significant as infection&amp; proteinuria have been ruled out. I assume your urine is quickly flushed &amp; doesn't stand around. To mitigate the odor increase water intake to 2 quarts daily.

: many things can cause the urine to smell. Since you have some symptoms consult a Urologist . Make water part of your daily intake. No need to take Hiprex if urine normal. vit. C o.k.

It can smell like ketones during fasting or certain medical problems. Some foods give urine odd aromas, such as after eating asparagus. A primary care doctor can evaluate if one keeps having such aroma symptoms, to rule out a urine infection, and look for other causes.

Strong urine odor...: ...usually doesn't mean anything important -- mostly related to what you eat and fluid intake. I'm not sure how to interpret "hot" urine. If it just feels warm as you pass urine, plus odor and maybe darker color, just drink more fluids which might clear it up. If painful or "burning" to pass urine, and/or urgent or small volumes, possible urinary tract infection. If so, see a doctor right away.
