Feel string @cervix: It is recommended to check the string after each menstrual cycle. You need to place one finger gently into your vagina, touch your cervix, and feel for the string. It should feel like a fine piece of fishing line. If you can't feel it, check with your gynecologist.

URGENT: A toothache along with swelling would indicate an infection. This is a potentially dangerous situation and requires that she be brought to a dentist (Pedodontist) right away for a proper evaluation and treatment. Check her temperature and if it is elevated and you cannot see a dentist right away, bring her to the ER of a local hospital or 24/7 emergency medical facility.

Aren't you curious?: The biggest advantage is that a cervix check will help your doctor know if your cervix is ripe or not.  This can be important if an induction of labor is being considered.  The disadvantage is a very slight increase in the rate of infection and the discomfort of the exam.  Best wishes!

The American Heart A: Go to americanheart.org an view their video. Theirs is for an automatic device.  If you want to listen to the BP sounds contact Sharedcareresearch@mac.com and ask about their video and  ZOOM training at home.  Listening is cheaper and more accurate. Avoid YouTube ones as none are correct in my experience. Discuss with ur team.

Do annual check-up: Kids from age 2 to 18 should have annual check-ups. The doctor records annual weight and height increases. To see if growth has stopped, a teen can return for his annual check-up. The doctor can show the teen the growth chart for the past 3 or more years. If the last 2-3 years have the same height, then height growth has stopped. If still gaining a little bit each year, one MAY grow a bit more.

i am 26 yo. is it scary to get checked for hupothyroidism?

Hypothyroidism: No, it is not scary.  The physician will ask about symptoms of hypothyroidism (fatigue, weight gain, constipation, feeling cold, dry skin, etc.) do an exam of your neck to check the thyroid and some other tests such as tendon reflexes.  Then a blood test will be done to check thyroid hormone levels.  The results of all this information will be put together and a diagnosis then made.
