Telehealth- testing: If you have an upper respiratory infection with sinus congestion and in addition a lot chest pressure, I would suggest to check with your doctor via telehealth or health department about the possibility of testing and if there is need for additional treatment.

Very low: but if there is a positive maternal family history of breast cancer and if there is a high risk breast cancer gene, you should be tested and followed closely.  Breast cancer involves genetic and environmental factors that are only now beginning to be understood.  You would do well to consult an expert in this area. Learn breast self exam and do it regularly.

Lingering anxiety: Cognitive behavior therapy, mindfulness, and exposure /response prevention may help for what could be OCD. Find a psychologist skilled in these areas and in anxiety management .

Evaluation: I would suggest further evaluation with imaging and blood testing to expalin thelymphadenopathy-probably benign- get checked.

do you think i should stop taking birth control pill to check for symptoms of pcos?

Accepted Answer

No: Unless you desire to get pregnatn i don't recommend that you stop your bcp's.  Unless you are having side effects or there is another reason for stoping them.  I would discuss this issue with your gyn.  Whty do you want to stop?  Do you want to get pregnant?  Other methods of treatment for pcos? Etc etc.

Yes: If you are worried about a child who is not making progress in school, a psychologist should then test your child's iq, memory, handwriting, and achievement scores.  A physician can then assess for a cause, if present.

No: We check problems of the endocrine system. Some people do have candidiasis and need to see an expert in infectious disease. However many people are given the diagnosis of "candidiasis" by quack physicians who should (or do) know better.
