Low, but...: Both of these diseases are common, may be related to estrogen in older women, and if they occur at the same time may warn of a cancer family syndrome though the link isn't classic.  Neither causes the other.  Good luck.

estrogen increases the risk of endometrial cancer, but does it increase the risk of breast cancer as well?

Yes: Studies have shown an increase risk of breast cancer in patients treated with estrogen replacement. In fact, women at high risk for getting breast cancer are treated with tamoxifen or evista (raloxifene). Those drugs block the effect of estrogen on breast tissue.

i had urine culture. results were 50,00-100,000 bacteria and organisms. what does this mean? i am currently in remission for endometrial cancer, post radical hysterectomy 04/01/2020. breast cancer 23 yrs ago?

: Your post is confusing. Bacteria and organisms? Do you mean a mixture of different bacteria ? Mixed cultures suggest a poor urine sample contaminated by germs from near the outlet skin surface, not bladder. A report of 50-100,000 of a single germ is suspicious for infection, a mixture is not.

my mom had stage 1 breast cancer/lumpectomy about eight weeks ago no spread then found isolated endometrial cancer stage 1b and had a hysterectomy. she will now need radiation and chemo for the uterus due to serous cells. im so scared about serous?

: The best advice would come from her oncologist and radiotherapist as they will know all the details of her case.. I think they'll be very optimistic about her prognosis.

does tamoxifen for breast cancer put me at risk for uterine cancer?

Yes: Studies have shown that women taking tamoxifen have twice the risk of developing uterine cancer as compared to the general population.  However, the benefits of tamoxifen far outweigh this risk when treating many breast cancers.  When taking tamoxifen, it is critical to see your gynecologist yearly and be mindful of any pelvic pain or irregular menstrual bleeding.

Get tested.: I can't tell you what your doctor should do, but i would be aggressive with you. You didn't give enough info to say much. How old are you? You have a family history of breast &/or ovarian cancer: who are they? One side of the family or both. Have you had genetic testing? Talk to your doctor about these issues.

my mom just diagnosed in july with stage 1 breast cancer. had a lumpectomy. surrounding tissue and lymph nodes all fine and supposed to start radiation soon. however she was now just told she has uterine cancer from a pap. two cancers same time? how?

: Breast cancer can metastasize[spread] to pelvic organs including the ovaries. There is a number of limited reports of spread to uterus and cervix. Yes it possible but rare.

i read somewhere that if a woman gets her period before 12 years of age she is higher risk for endometrial and breast cancer. is this true ? i got mine at 11 and half years of age?

: While early onset of menstrual periods have some association with eventual development of breast cancer, I believe that association with uterine and ovarian cancer has been quite inconsistent. Also I believe that late onset of periods doesn't necessarily protect you from developing these cancers. Don't obsess about cancer. Just get your regular checkups during the years.

my endometrial biopsy showed irregular mucoid tissue fragments,glandular epithelium, but insufficient to evaluate, will probably need more testing. could this be cancer? i'm 67 yrs.old and on tamoxifen for breast cancer diagnosis last october?

: There is no histologic finding to suggest the presence of endometrial cancer but the tissue preparation is not adequate for interpretation so you will need another procedure for confidently ruling out endometrial carcinoma. You have nothing to worry at this time. Good luck.
