No: One of the problems with cervical cancer treatment is that many people do not have symptoms until it has already spread.  That is why we do  Pap smears-to catch it before symptoms

Accepted Answer

Maybe: This would depend on how advanced the tumor is.  If it is a small minimally invasive tumor it is unlikely that enlarged lymph nodes have tumor deposits within them.  

Most of the time lymph nodes are enlarged because they are simply reacting to an infection or other process and not because one has cancer.

Not usually: There are many reasons for inguinal node enlargement and cervical cancer is low on this list. If you are healthy otherwise. give it a couple more weeks to see how they progress.  If you have lower abdominal or genital problems, you will need to see your doctor.

had total hyst 10/11 stage 2 cervical cancer found. pelvic lymph nds remved 12/11; clear since.dont feel well yet.tired/ache/pain. lymphedema mild too?

S/P Cervical CA Surg: Being that you are newly 18 months out from your surgery, the fatigue and pain is worrisome. Lymph edema may persist for many months or never completely go away. What was the status of the lymph nodes? All negative for cancer? I would follow up with your gynecologist and tratment team - you shouldn't be this tired and achy this far out.

mammogram results-intramammographic benign lymph nodes.  huge family history of breast, ovarian, and cervical cancer.  should i be worried and pursue this?

No: This is a common incidental finding on mammograms.  Some radiologists don't even mention them in their reports.  Unless the lymph node looks abnormal, there is no further work up needed.

drs found a left para aortic lymph node enlarged to 3cm .....all other test came back ok no symptoms....no cancer... is it ok to leave it alone?

i was diagnosed with ovarian cancer stage 3c in 2008.  no recurrence other than a para-aortic lymph node....pet showed suv of 19.8. what doc do i need?

Ovarian cancer: You need a gynecologic oncologist that will remove or destroy (debulk) the disease.  Pet scans are not as perfect as some docs claim they are. Often more disease is found at time of secondary debulking. Have you had your brca 1&2 tested? You need to!

Possibly: There are several other potential explanations, such as TB, fungal infections, non-infectious inflammatory conditions like sarcoidosis. There is no question that cancer must be considered, but you should be fully evaluated by a pulmonologist, general internist or your family doctor and then referred onward if necessary.

Depends: Early detection is curable and that's why pap smears are so important.  The ability to spread depends on a number of features- 
is it poorly differentiated?
What stage was it iwhen it was found?
Has it gone to lymph nodes already?
