Usually not: But it's very painful and very distressing. What has your personal physician said?  I was taught that Propranolol before intercourse is an option, and have read about general physical conditioning being helpful as well. Good luck.

No: Also known as sexual headaches, coital cephalalgia is a rare type of severe headache that occurs at  base of the skull before orgasm during sexual activity. Lymphedema is swelling due to lymphatic abnormality that is congenital or acquired following surgery or irradiation.

Could Be Neck Issues: If preliminary evaluation by your primary doctor doesn't help, consider evaluation of your neck to make sure nothing is awry there.  Many times the facet joints in the neck or even herniated disks could be a cause of this issue in the back of head. Alternatively it could also be occipital neuralgia in the back of the head if the neck evaluation reveals nothing.

Unrelated: I think palpitations are common and aren't generally specifically related either to sexual intercourse or migraine. However, nausea is very typical of migraine and migraines often have triggers that are specific in given individuals. A migraine prophylactic medication may help - you should discuss it with your family doctor.

Omnicef (cefdinir): Cefdinir is an oral later generation cephalosporin antibiotic.  It is not a penicillin derivative but does have a beta-lactam ring in its structure, similar to that of penicillins.

Good question: Mesenteric panniculitis is not well understood. It is a diagnosis made on a ct scan showing nonspecific inflammatory changes in the fatty tissue that makes up the mesentery of the intestines. There is no specific cause known and treatment is not indicated. Some think that it is sometimes associated with a cancer elsewhere, but by no means does it mean someone has cancer if seen on a ct.

How sensitive are u?: The strength of an antibiotic is measured by how active it is against a specific organism. For the right bug, plain old penicillin may be the 'strongest'. The most important thing to know is the sensitivity or susceptibilities of your bacteria.  If your infection is not responding to ceftriaxone, odds are it is resistant to all cephalosporins.  Some remain susceptible to cefepeme but not all.
