This is something: You and your doctor to take is seriously . I do not know what tests you have so far , but i will encourage to keep your doctor informed about your situation .  I believe your doctor would consider evaluating your kidney, pancreas and look for any problem in your left side of the colon and many others . In general , your condition is something that you need to work closely with your doctors. Good luck.

Any numbness?: WIth the sharp pain, do you have numbness, tingling, or burning in the chest or legs?  I would recommend an MRI of the spine and maybe of the brain to rule out inflammation.  These 2 symptoms aren't usually caused by a problem in only one area.  Probably best if you see your doctor to get checked out.

: This mild sounding symptom has the characteristics of an irritability of an abdominal wall muscle or superficial nerve as there are no associated symptoms that appear to be inflammatory or tied to the spleen or digestive tract. Unless a rash appears, I expect this symptom to fully resolve soon.

See doctor: The location of abdominal pain may help in identifying the problem; however, it is the onset, associated symptoms like nausea, vomiting, character of the pain, and what relieves it, along with the physical exam that all help with making the diagnosis.  If pain persists, see a doctor.

However persistent upper abdominal pain can be due to gas entrapment,acute gastritis(inflammation of the stomach lining),pylorospasm, peptic ulcer, pancreatitis,acute gastric distension or gall bladder pathology. Probably muscular: Many people have spasm in the rectus abdomenus muscles when bending over to tie shoes or put on socks.  The way to avoid this is to bring the foot up to the seat and do it.  Breathe deep at the same time.  If he pain is more internal, see a gastroenterologist and see if you have ge reflux.  The treatment is usually medical.
