i recently had surgery on my left wrist to remove a ganglion, im allergic to penicillin, so the doctor gave me coxlean, its been 8days since my surgery and im not sure whether its a reaction or a heat rash. what should i do?

Basics: Any significant/worrisome allergy to this or any other antibiotic would produce obvious symptoms within hours if not sooner. A minor rash has little significance. If concerned you can have it looked at since it is likely unrelated &amp; could be triggered by any one of a number of issues.

i have a heat rash on my right hand and was wondering if antihistamines would help or if not what is the best way to treat it?

Probably not: This appears to be a contact allergy or irritant reaction and as such an antihistamine would not likely do anything. Avoidance of the contact agent and a topical cortisone cream may help.  In the future, attaching a photo of the rash may help us answer your question more accurately.

hi dr, i get repeated rashes the underside of my breast for which i am currently using dermikelp as i do not want to use cortisone. is this caused due to heat rash as i do suffer from the heat. what else can i do to ease the situation?

Rash: A rash under breast could be yeast infection. Try an anti yeast cream and keep the skin dry once rash is gone

Not likely heat rash: If your rash is occurring in cold weather, that is not likely heat rash. The term heat-rash refers to a rash occurring due to excessive heat. Eczema is often worse in cold and dry weather and so you may want to have it checked out. Without knowing what the rash looks like and its distribution on the body, it is difficult to make a diagnosis. 
So, consult doc.

Drug reaction.: There is no indication that the drugs you are on have made you more sensitive to the sun exposure. Be sure you are not on st johns worts which may make one more sensitive to the sunlight.  It is remotely possible that a very high dose of Benadryl (diphenhydramine) may reduce your sweating but it will have to be more than 10 times the average dose . I suspect your rash is from something else.

Yes: Antidepressant and a number of medications can cause dry mouth. Drink plenty of water. Can add some lemon to stimulate saliva. Also, chewing sugar free gum can help with salivary flow.

DERMATITIS: Heat rash are usually in the body, fine, itchy  and flaky. Eczematoid rash are localized in any part of the body, cubital, popliteal, face and characterized by your description. It responds to moisturizer or steroid cream.

Have to see it: Rashes are best diagnosed by having a healthcare professional look at it.  Recommend that you see your provider or setup a telehealth consult so that you can be treated with the appropriate medication if needed.  Ringworm does have a circular raised appearance, it can itch or burn and spreads easily. There is an antifungal cream that you can use, sometimes takes weeks for it to go away.
