Some times: Gliosis is essentially a healing response and the changes can be seen on imaging.  A variety of injuries, including chronic microangiopathic dz can induce gliosis.

Gliosis and Headache: It is unlikely that the  gliosis could lead to headache. It is important to note that brain is actually insensitive to pain as it does not contain any pain fibers. The only pain sensitive structures in the brain are the blood vessels and the meninges. I think it is also important to investigate the type and the cause of your headache. radiologist report says bilateral gliosis posterior frontal lobe. where is the posterior frontal lobe located and can it cause my nocturnal seizures. ?

Gliosis and Seizures: The frontal lobe covers the forward half of the brain. That's a pretty big area, so "posterior" let's us know the lesion is in the rear portion of the frontal lobe. Gliosis is often a reaction to injury like a scar. It could certainly be a focus of your seizures, especially if it matches the eeg. Your neurologist will have all the evidence and will have that discussion with you.

can you get just one ms lesion on your cerebellum? just in a random spot of white matter that doesn't enhance or cause mass effect? also can lupus cause a random gliosis on your cerebellum?

Yes.: White matter changes frequently seen on brain MRI are the result of chronic small vessel ischemic disaease and it is the resulting small focus of gliosis that shows on the MRI imaging.  Treating your underlying cardiovascular heath is key, not the MRI finding.

No: Not sure what is involved with gliosis of occipital area, but regardless of specifics, this does not affect eye size.  Not sure what has been done so far, but might pursue you findings further and see a local neurologist.

Gliosis is a prominent feature of many diseases of the central nervous system, including multiple sclerosis and stroke. After a stroke, neurons die and disappear with replacement gliosis.'.

Brain inflammation: Reactive gliosis is a pathology term that refers to the histological appearance of brain tissue on light microscopy where it is observed that glial cells have both multiplied and grown larger in response to trauma. The neuroscience community have assigned both beneficial and negative effects to this phenomenon. It prevents axons from connecting again although it restores the blood brain barrier.

Comments: Gliosis is NOT a disease or syndrome, it is a description of an area of scarring in the brain, perhaps secondary to prior trauma or disease.
