A number of causes: There are numerous causes of bleeding from the rectum ranging from self limiting and benign to serious.  Generally in a 22 yo it tends toward the former. If persistent or recurrent that can only be determined by a physical examination by your physician.

Varies: This can be as simple as a fissure in the anal opening due to hard or bulky stools.This produces bright red blood in small amounts on the surface of the stool. If darker to purple and mixed in with stool, it could be an infection. It could be something as offensive as trauma from sexual abuse.

Probably normal: large caliber stools are ok but if you are having pain and fresh bleeding probably need fiber and evaluation of rectum with sigmoidoscope

Not to worry: What you described is not a reason for concern.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex.

Yes: Constipation is a common side effect of opioid meds like tramadol.  Hard stools passing thru the rectal area can cause small amount of bleeding. Advise high fiber diet and adequate fluid intake,  also update your doctor about your symptoms.

Can but: More often it is excessive caffeine intake which sometimes occurs with anxiety. Stop all sources of caffeine, drink plenty of other fluids and use corn starch powder liberally on your bottom and the skin surrounding your anus. Should resolve in 7-14 days.

having pain in my anus near the end when i sit down. no visual signs of a hemorrhoid. no bleeding. caused me to pass out from the pain resulting in a trip to the er but no relief since saturday. what could this be?

: An abscess comes first to mind, follow up will be needed with your doc or a gastroenterologist, usually in discharge notes from ER.

IF just : Swollen, then warm baths plain water for 15 minutes 3 times per day, alternate with ice pack and stay at bedrest with feet above hips for 24-48 hours should help. If thrombosed or clotted, see a colorectal surgeon. Best to avoid this recurring by drinking more fluids and less caffeine.

Possibly hemorrhoid: What you self diagnosed is possible; I would consider cancer less likely given your age but I think you need to go see a surgeon for evaluation before you do anything else.

Yes: If you feel a lump there which is painful, could be a thrombosed hemorrhoid. This just means blood in the hemorrhoud clotted. Go see your surgeon. The simple fix is to cut it open, and drain the clot.
