Joint instability?: Repeated trauma and/or joint laxity could combine to cause partial dislocation, known as subluxation. This will require an x-ray  and ct or mri scan to evaluation the joint itself

See details: There are several possible causes including a labral tear. This needs to be evaluated by an orthopedist and an MRI may be needed to establish a cause.

Hip pain: Could be a snapping hip syndrome. Either internal or external depending on what relieves the pressure. Could also be arthritis or osteonecrosis of the femoral head. And X-ray and physical exam will help. Occasionally an MRI is needed. Most often this is an easily tested condition.

just got perscribed concerta. how many hours after tramadol is it safe to start taking it? i was just recently put back on my add meds. i am a 29 year old female. i have had add my whole life.  i also take tramadol for hip pain . more so when i am active

Both : Both drugs lower seizure threshold, therefore, their interaction is undesirable, as you correctly pointed out. Tramadol elimination from the body primarily depends on the state of your kidneys and liver as well as what other medications you have been taking. Assuming that your liver and kidneys are healthy, and you are not taking any other medications that could impact elimination of tramadol (e.g. Quinidine) the half-life of tramadol will be about 7 hours. A "half-life" is the amount of time during which the concentration of a drug in the body decreases by half. Tramadol has a pharmacologically active metabolite mono-o-desmethyltramadol known as m1. The half-life of m1 in a healthy young person is approximately 7.4 hours. Therefore, a conservative estimation of the time needed to clear your body from tramadol and m1 is:  half-life x 4, which is approximately 28-30 hours. However, if your liver is not healthy (e.g. There is liver cirrhosis), the half-life of tramadol and m1 increase to 13 and 19 hours respectively. In that case, your body will be cleared from tramadol in 52 hours and from m1 in 76 hours.

Overuse: Hip pain could be a sign of arthritic condition.  If you did martial arts. That is a lot of stress on the hip.  Since walking is difficult, I am concerned about an arthritis or a bursitis.  You may want to start with having an examination with a sports medicine physician  and then have an x-ray.

i am 39 years old and just found i have a large ovarian cyst. i have major hip pain and its hard to walk. could the cyst be the cause of my hip pain?

Possibly: Sometimes a cyst will compress a nerve in the pelvis with referred pain to the hip.  A simple examination and x-ray of the hip will help to determine if the hip is the primary source of the pain.  An MRI of the pelvis will help to delineate the exact position of the ovarian cyst.
