: Clopidogrel (Plavix) 75mg daily mono therapy was compared to Aspirin in the CAPRIE trial in 1996 to have a statistically significant relative risk reduction only for peripheral artery disease (8.7%). i have been on 325 mg aspirin daily for almost two years. my eosinophils have slowly been rising (now 1,300 ) & make up 15% of wbcs. hives, allergy symptoms , abnormal liver/kidney functioning. is this dress syndrome ? ext steps ? switch 2 plavix?

: You need to tell us more about your use of Aspirin and what is the reason behind its use ?necessary.
With a high Eosinophil count, drug allergy becomes a serious consideration.
You need to see an allergist and also consider stopping Aspirin unless there is a good reason to be on a blood thinner(?)

No: There are no drugs which can cause diverticulitis.  Diverticulitis occurs when a diverticulum or pouch in the colon gets a small hole in it causing small amounts of stool and bacteria to leak out of the colon.  This leads to infection.  You must have diverticulosis (pockets or pouches in your colon) in order to be at risk for diverticulitis.  Diverticulosis is generally an asymptomatic condition.

Maybe: That is possible if the medication irritates the stomach. More commonly, the Plavix (clopidogrel) can contribute to bleeding. It is probable that your heartburn is related to something else. Of course, if the problem improved on stopping the Plavix (clopidogrel) then maybe it is the drug.

Both : Both can cause shortness of breath although in most it is not clinically significant. Reported rate of shortness of breath for Effient is 4.9% vs. 4.5% for plavix (clopidogrel).

Vit K: The pathway of clotting where vit k works is different from the platelet pathway where Plavix (clopidogrel) and Aspirin work. While not disconnected, usually arterial clotting is more affected by the platelet pathway where Plavix (clopidogrel) and Aspirin work.

YES  but confusing: Probably anytime is reasonable to begin arnica therapy if ok with your physician.  As stated it is controversial and not uniformly recommended. Furthermore there  is great confusion about the best form to deliver therapy such as oral or topical preparations. On top of that there are probably hundreds of oral versions each claiming to be more effective than the other so the confusion is multiplied.
