Immediate hypersensitivity reactions consist of hives, flushing, itching, swelling, GI symptoms, respiratory symptoms and cardiovascular effects. Delayed hsr can manifest as a bumpy red rash that itches or blisters.  Is your reaction diffuse or only at site of implantation?

why does implanon cause spotting?

CPU override: Your Central Processing Unit is being overridden by the implanon's hormone "feedback" to your pituitary gland. As a result, it's "keystrokes" to the endometrium are often sporadic, resulting in the computer to "freeze" (spotting). This in no way, will prevent the overall computer (body) from functioning,. Implanon will just continue to prevent a "virus"(pregnancy) but the keyboard may "freeze".

Vaginitis: Implanon it self will not cause vaginitis.  Vaginitis is caused by an imbalance in the bacteria of the vagina.

Not much: Hair loss is a reported adverse outcome in some women using Implanon although it is not a common complaint. First i would investigate with your doctor other causes like thyroid disease. If all else is normal then you may have to switch birth control methods.

Spotting: May cause spotting everyday, or after an irregular pattern, i havent heard of causing heavy bleeding just spotting.

Arm: I would call the doctor who did the procedure so they are aware of what is ring on and can be involved in your care.

That is quite: possible as weight gain is a possible side effect.

No: You are simply at risk to get pregnant and can no longer count on the Implanon for protection.

Usually neither: In clinical trials these were not seen to a significant degree. Progesterone does cause an increase in appetite.
