every time i bend over, for the past year, and following a lumbar puncture,  i hear a loud thump of fluid in one ear. do i have a csf leak? it's not sinus or allergy related i've ruled that out.

Middle ear: The symptom you describe sounds like an issue with fluid in your middle ear, and is unlikely to be related to your prior lumbar puncture. You may want to get a doctor to examine your ear.

: What you have may not be CSF leak but could just be fluid draining from your sinuses. It is important to follow up with your doctor so you could be reevaluated.

Spinal fluid WBC: Can be from infections or inflammation.  Even an ear infection.

Explanation : You must a thumbed/eroded cribiform plate from some sort of prior insult... e.g.: infection, trauma etc. if it has healed and does not recur, then it may have healed completely with scar tissue. That doesn't completely eradicate your chances of a leak in the future and subsequently possibility for meningitis. So always remain vigilant with the signs and symptoms of leak and meningitis.

Must be lying: You can't measure opening pressure if the spinal tap is done while you're sitting up.

Ignore it: Reference ranges are there to include most but not all healthy people. If your physician is not concerned, i would not  be either.
