I used them..: As long as it is for simple back pain. If it doesn't improve over a few weeks, strongly suggest on seeing a Chiropractor to get a back evaluation first. Then maybe go down the massage route.

I vote no: Consider 1000mg tylenol (acetaminophen) instead of one of the anti-inflammatory meds.

Ice: Is it just a muscle knot or is it something that is hurting you?  Muscle knots can be present due to posture and strain.  

Ice as well as warmth can help.  Try icing it first with a frozen bean bag for about 3-5 minutes followed by stretching the area.

Yes and no, but...: Yes, you can take flector patch on two parts of your body, but realize that the main ingredient, diclofenac, will be absorbed through the skin and therefore you are getting double the dose (externally and internally). It is an NSAID (nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drug) and so you should take any other NSAID, such as ibuprofen, while using the patch; avoid prolonged use.

Reply: Baby's skin is very sensitive. Especially face is exposed to many topical irritants like saliva, rubbing their faces on clothes while being held, face wipes. It's very common to have dry flaky skin on face in babies. Try to keep the face moisturized all the time, used damp washcloth to tap dry the face after feeds, use shoulder towel while carrying, see his dr. As needed.

Avoid these: If you suspect food allergy, or if foods cause skin rash, hives, or itching within 2 hours of ingestion (especially if this occurs consistently); then that food should be strictly avoided.  See an allergist to confirm and/or characterize the nature of the allergy.  Dust allergy is interestingly associated with certain food allergies.

Patch testing: Patch testing is used to identify chemical sensitivities. Contact with these allergens causes a rash at the site of contact. If you do not have a body rash (but only itching) is much less likely that you have contact allergy as the cause of your symptoms. Start by eliminating fragranced products that may contact your skin (detergent, fabric softeners, soaps, lotions).
