Endocarditis is an: infection of the heart. Atrial septal aneurysm, patent foramen and atrial septal defects are anatomical variants determined by your genetic makeup and embryological development. There is no causal relationship between the two.

Not a true aneurysm: Atrial septal aneurysms are not "true" aneurysm like those that occur in blood vessels with a risk of rupture.  Atrial septal aneurysms are simply an excess of tissue left over when you naturally closed your patent foramen ovale with tissue growing together to seal the atrial septum.  There is debate about the significance of an atrial septal aneurysm among experts, but they do not cause pain.

Atrium: Good question, presently no morphological or etiology studies to answer that question with wide application. Generally something we find on echo and describe. Rarely see it appear when clearly not seen on previous echo, probably most are genetic

Possibly: I cannot answer the plasma question but if you have an atrial septal defect then yes, any infected blood clots or material that gets into your veins could get around your lungs and cause it a brain aneurysm (paradoxical embolization). This should be discussed with your cardiologist to see if an atrial septal occluder device is needed.

Floppy septum: The atrial septum devides the right atrium (upper heart chamber) from the left.  During developement in the womb, there is a large opening in this wall which closes soon after birth. The closure can be floppy or redundent, and may be referred to as aneurysm. This is benign and not the type of aneurysm that needs repair or is at risk to rupture.

It really depends: On how much shunting is occurring through the hole & if there are resultant adverse effects...E.G. Pulmonary hypertension...Often times these are not fixed.

Atrial septal aneury: Ejection fraction 50-55% is normal and the change from 65% to 55% may well be within the variation of the measuring technology. Atrial septal aneurysm is generally not per se dangerous or life threatening though it can cause problems. Read this for more info:
