hi all..after 6 months from rihoplasty i still feel some pain when i'm walking for long distances or carrying heavy things, so if i return back to my workout in gym during these days will effect the final nose job results??

Pain/nasal surgery ?: Exercise six months post rhinoplasty should not affect the original surgery, but pain at this point is unusual, so see your surgeon who performed the surgery prior to resumption of your normal workout.

my basal joint hurts from carrying heavy things days ago. i have tried taking tylenol (acetaminophen) as the pain is pretty bad, but it doesn't help.should i be seen?

If symptoms persist.: Symptoms from thumb basal joint arthritis can wax and wane and are often activity related.  If symptoms develop after rigorous activity, try temporary immobilization (splint), ice and anti-inflammatory medication (nsaids).  If symptoms persist for more than a few days or start to interfere with your quality of life, see a board certified hand surgeon. Therapy or steroid injection may help.

2 years ago i fell from a ladder.got hip replacement surgery.i still can't run, have pain when carrying heavy things,and feel hip when walking.normal?

Hip replacement: This is not normal. What does your surgeon say?  The prosthesis may be loose or mslpisitioned. An X-ray would show the problem.

shiny dry skin on lower legs but not ankles or feet, calf pain i'm walking only if i'm carrying heavy things. peripheral artery disease?

PAD 16 yo F: Very rare to be PAD at your age. Carry lighter things. Ask you Dr to feel the pulses in your feet.

Left sided pain: Since it is persisting for 3 months would seek medical attention at doctor /urgent care.Could be constipation( though just when carrying is unusual), muscle strain,rare internal hernia( spigelian), disc herniation,  or ovarian/colon/kidney/mass pathology. See a doctor this week.

what are the risks of carrying a heavy book bag on your back for at least 30mins?

Nothing: you are 18 yeRs old young and strong.
If you carry the bag in a healthy normal way nothing will happen.
If you do it with twisting and unbalanced and not in a healthy way you could end up with a back pain and muscle spasm

Accepted Answer

No: Vitreous separation & traction on the retina causes retinal tears-causing vitreous floaters & hazy vision.  Untreated, these tears allow fluid to flow behind the retina amd it falls off the back of your eye-like wallpaper coming off a wall.  This causes a veil in your side vision then painless central vision loss.  Lifting or straining does not cause these problems.  Hitting your head can.

i get huge back and shoulder pain every time i wear or carry non heavy items, even wearing a necklace and carrying a purse gives me pain.

Back/ shoulder pain: Does it hurt when you just move hour shoulder? raise your arms? move your neck? Would follow up with doctor urgent  care make sure you are not developing arthritis like rheumatoid arthritis or lupus or fibromyalgia. need sed rate CRP, exam for trigger points, range or motion, parathesias. Coudl alos be from gallbladder pain or rarely could be MS, F/U with doc  .

i felt an acute pain in my lower stomach on the left side while i was putting away some books. do u think it's bcause i was carrying weight? worried!

Is the pain: Better now or still present?  Probably an acute minor sprain at the costochondral lower rib cage of the chest wall after lifting the books. If pain persist or changes seek medical attention.
