Some children are particularly adept at 'escaping' from car seats/seat belts.  Simply pull over, calmly ask the child to get back in, and check to ensure everything is snug. Staying calm, but firm takes the 'sport' out of it.

My own feeling is that if you always have a computer telling you where to go then you are not using your brain and not gaining a sense of the local geography. Ginger or dramamine (dimenhydrinate): Ginger or ginger ale works well to cut down on motion sickness.  Dramamine (dimenhydrinate) works well to combat motion sickness.  You must start taking it the day before to be most effective.  Try not to look at books, phones, or try to read in a bumpy car this will only make things worse.
