Here is some info: Your father's doctor can answer this question if you ask. Stage-3 cancers are treatable but are high risk for recurrence. His cancer may take Chemotherapy, radiotherapy in addition to surgery to control. The prognosis depends on the status of neck nodes in terms of spread of Cancer.If the nodes are involved by tumor, then he has a bigger problem than otherwise. But he has a 50/50 chance of Cure.
