Walk on sprain: I have seen patients that think they only have a sprain and they also have a fracture.  I strongly advise an evaluation and x rays to be sure you do not have  a fracture .  Better safe than really sorry

If no Fx: No fx ; minimal pain, it seems as though it would b ok, ; assuming u have been evaluated by an ortho or podiatrist. If very painful use aids, as cane or crutches. If in doubt ask ur treating physician.

X-ray: An x-ray of the foot and ankle will be able to assist in differentiating a sprain form a fracture.

Try RICE.: The treatment usually begins with Rest, Ice application, Compression and Elevation.(RICE). After twenty four hours, the swelling should be reduced as well as the pain. There is always a possibility that you may have done more damage than a sprain. Crutches may be needed to help with ambulation. You can't go wrong by having it examined in your doctor's surgery. A stabilization boot might help.

See dr: You might have some instability in your ankles due to incomplete healing of the strained and/or torn ligaments in your ankles.  See your primary dr and/or an orthopedic surgeon for evaluation.  Might just need physical therapy to improve strength around your ankles.

Can be normal: As long as you have been examined and had xrays, then swelling and bruising after a sprain is normal.  The worst swelling is usually 4-5 days after the injury.

No: At 2 years old, normally we allow the child to set their own pace.But be careful that there is no fracture.So if no better in 1-2 days, may want to have her leg examined.

Have it evaluated: First of all have the issue evaluated to determine the cause of the swelling. Then you will know the appropriate treatment.

Foot pain: Sure, you could have a sprain.  Other possible reasons for your pain could be a bone spur, plantar fasciitis, tendonitis, or neuroma.  If it persists see you doctor for an exam.
