Yes but sedation etc: The response to the medications and the doses need monitoring[ i.e. Asking the right questions at each medication appointment regarding potential side-effects, medication interactions, activities of daily living, checking blood pressure both sitting and standing to make sure you do not have any orthostatic hypotention from the combination or other causes like dehydration especially in hot weather..

i take 50mg zoloft (sertraline) and .5mg klonopin daily. sometimes i don't take the clonazepam. i feel bouts of being very nervous and anxious. is this side effect?

Normal response: zoloft (sertraline) for depression
klonopin for anxiety
so it is normal response if you do not take klonopin to feel nervous and anxious.
so keep taking your medicine the way your physician instruct you to do.

Follow directions: Until you discuss this change w/ your provider, take the prescription as prescribed. That's why it is called a prescription. By your age, you may think you know better than some (perhaps young) doctor - you may - but not about the new drugs they've been using. Follow the wisdom you've hopefully developed. Take medication as directed. Ask for an explanation. Then decide, but tell them.

i also take 4mg of risperdone and 150 mg of zoloft (sertraline) and 1mg of clonazepam can this be making stagger like a drunk person?

Talk to your doctor: Anti-anxiety and antipsychotic medications can effect balance and motor functioning.  Talk with your prescribing doctor about your motor symptoms, re-discuss with him/her all your medications, over the counter medicines, and if any , you alcohol or non-medical drug use.

Not recommended: Both zoloft (sertraline) and 5thp will increase serotonin levels.  The doses are often not well standardized in supplements - so you can't always be sure of the amount of active substance you are getting. Best to talk over with your prescribing psychiatrist. He or she can raise dose of zoloft (sertraline) if indicated.

Yes it's ok: There are no known interactions between the medications you list other than when combined they can make you sleepier than with just one of them.

Sleep hormones: Melotonin is the hormone that in animals is involved in the initiation of sleep and in regulating  the sleep/ wake cycle. Some people have found that taking melatonin before bed is useful as a sleep aid. Speak to your doctor  about whether melatonin may work for you and others ways to improve sleep including sleep hygiene and non medication interventions. Good luck and good night.

Why not clonazepam: Later in the day, closer to bedtime? Especially if you are sleepy in the daytime?  Clonazepam is a good sedative, more potent than valerian root.  I don't know your detailed history but you may want to discuss with your doctor.  Make sure he/she knows you have daytime sleepiness and hard time with sleep at night.
