Yes but....: Yes , you can but you should be careful because there is a greater risk of side effects.
Provigil and caffeine  are both wakefulness promoting agents, so  it is possible that the stimulatory effects of the two drugs will be  increased when taken together. Use caffeine and other stimulants like energy drink etc with caution.

i have idiopathic hypersomnia that has been resistant to all treatment (stimulants- ir/er ritalin & adderall, nuvigil & provigil, wellbutrin, caffeine, diet/exercise etc.anyone have positive experience with flumazenil, sodium oxybate, or pitolisant?

Provigil: Depends on what it's used for, for example if used for sleep disorder with excess daytime sleepiness, then generic form of stimulant such as Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) might be an option.

Trouble sleeping: Perhaps the medicine is too strong if you have narcolepsy and you have not slept in three days.  What does 1ce mean?

Normally provigil is a weak-acting medicine for narcolepsy.  Be certain that a special day-time sleep study was used to make the diagnosis.  You may find the medicine is too strong because the diagnosis is incorrect.  Just a thought.

It depends: Provigil has been used with daytime somnolence(sleepiness) in Parkinson's patients. But if someone has psychosis associated with their Parkinson's then Provigil may be best avoided as it can worsen these features.

About a day: The half life (time it requires for 50% of the medication to be eliminated from the body) is roughly 15 hours.  The clinical effects of the medication are typically gone in under a day. The medication is almost completely cleared from your system within a few days.

Narcolepsy: Check with your physician for the possibility that you may have developed other conditions like hypothyroidism, obstructive sleep apnea, depression, organic brain disorders, lack of exercise or poor sleep habits. He may need to reevaluate your medications. Hope you feel better soon.
