Ok to take the Nexium (esomeprazole) while trying to conceive.
The Nexium (esomeprazole) might interfere with absorption of the prenatal vitamin, so probably better to take the vitamin at least about an hour before. Good luck!

The first question is why are you taking 2 medications.  The medications you mentioned  block acid production in the stomach.  Patients who have reflux may need these medications long-term to prevent erosions and ulcers of the esophagus and stomach.  Multiple medications are often prescribed for short-term use especially if the patient has ulcers.  I recommend checking with your healthcare provide

Hi i've been on nexium (esomeprazole) for about two months and i'm realizing that my hair seems thinner and i barely have any energy. should i take vitamins to help?

It's very unlikely that the thinning hair or fatigue are caused by the Nexium (esomeprazole).  I'd talk to your doctor and have an evaluation as these can be symptoms of an underlying condition.  As for vitamins, they probably won't hurt - just don't bet on them working either.  I'd perhaps suggest increasing intake of protein and B-vitamins - as these can help with occasional fatigue. I had an upper gi endoscopy and two biopsies which all came normal yet doc still wants me to take nexium (esomeprazole)  for a week why is that?

It is wonderful that your biopsies were negative, but that does not mean you don't have some evidence of reflux induced problems.People don't get scoped without some suggestive symptoms. If mild, your best treatment may be avoiding aggravating factors like nicotine of caffeine, and feeding before sleep. An otc product like Prilosec may help, or the doc may want extra coverage after the biopsies.

You will probably see a reduction in acid production the first day but not for hours after you take it. As far as healing ulcers, or reflux damage, this can take quite a bit of time probably 8 weeks or more. Talk to your physician about what you can take for immediate relief in addition to Nexium (esomeprazole) if you need it.

Each dose should be taken at least an hour before meals, ideally an hour before breakfast and then an hour before dinner.

You could but not sure why.   Both the Nexium and Ranitidine should keep any heartburn or acid reflux under control (assuming that is why you are taking the medications.    It would not be harmful to take with those medications though.

I'm 31yo was dx with barretts 8 months ago- take 40mg nexium (esomeprazole) 2 times a day. should i be worried about cancer? can i live more then 20 yrs?

Studies show the risk of esophageal cancer rises approximately 0.5% a year after a diagnosis of Barretts Esophagus. That means after 20 years, the risk is 10%. GERD is highly associated with Barrett's esophagus so you should continue to treat your GERD. Always follow up with your MD!
