Probably not: Lidocaine cream should not be used on broken skin or open wounds, as it can be absorbed too quickly and cause problems with the heart or brain.

Carefully: This can be very tricky so you must follow the directions of the  company that does it for you. You need to make sure that only surgical steel only is used as the metal. Then need to alcohol it twice daily for a period of six weeks. If it becomes red or bloody need to see your doctor about having it removed. Need to alcohol the area on both sides where it is pierced. Wash your hands thoroughly.
