Carefully: This can be very tricky so you must follow the directions of the company that does it for you. You need to make sure that only surgical steel only is used as the metal. Then need to alcohol it twice daily for a period of six weeks. If it becomes red or bloody need to see your doctor about having it removed. Need to alcohol the area on both sides where it is pierced. Wash your hands thoroughly.

Piercing care: After the piercing you need to wash the skin with warm soapy water twice daily. Don't pull on the piercing as this will irritate the skin. Most of the piercing are surgical stainless steel so you are unlikely to react to the metal itself. You can also place a small amount of triple antibiotic ointment at the skin opening. Hope this helps.
