ive been to serval specialist and doctors,done stress scans and x-rays on my knee. been told there is nothing wrong. recently my leg and feet started tingling, its extremely uncomfortable when i bend my knee i have to keep my leg straight?

Knee pain : Tingling in the leg makes me think that there is a neurological problem that can be from a nerve near the knee (common peroneal )  or stemming from the back. It seems like you did not have a MRI?  The best way to evaluate your knee is with a good physical examination, without that no one can be sure. It seems like you have damage to the meniscus in the knee.

i have uncontrolled hypertension hypothyroidism, discoloration both legs & now edema in right leg knee to foot. what kind of doc should i see first?

Physician: Family practice physician will help you sort through these problems, do appropriate workups, and refer you to the proper specialists if necessary.

Stabilizes it: Uncertain what the major issue you have. Is it pain and swelling, is it foot drop, there are a lot of considerations in making this advice. I would ask your physician to clarify this for you.

rolling car ran over foot. at er for fourth time in week; doc thinks the swelling that was in one leg is now in both.due to infection. what is up?

Gait abnormality: Your limping due 2 pain in 1 foot is likely causing over use injury 2 the other foot and leg.  Walking without limping (like in the pool - in water up to your chest) is the key 2 recovery.  You are at risk for DVT (blood clot) if the pain from the original injury keeps you from moving long enough.  Assuming no fracture or clot, ice compression & regular elevation & regular toe and foot wiggling :).

my doc ordered an mri of my right foot and leg because i have had pain and swelling for three months around my outer ankle. what will mri show?

Problems with bones: Mri is a very advanced test and it gives structural  information about the muscles bones and tendons as well as joints. Any problem from infection, fractures, dislocation or cancer  inflammation, abscess all will show up in a MRI scan it is expensive but extremely useful test especially if  we are not sure of what is the cause of your pain. what causes swelling in my lower legs and feet i take water pills but the swelling is still there my doctor tells me it's nothing to worry about ?

Swelling of LE's: many reasons 
-Congestive heart failure 
-incompetent veins in the LE's 
   - keeping your legs down prevent fluids from going back into circulation
- Meds your are taking 
- Eating too much salt 
- inactivity 
keep feet elevated , walk more , cut back on salt . Max 2000 MG /day 
wear support hose as soon as you get up

i take lunesta (eszopiclone) an swelling in my legs/feet swelling is 3 to 4 times the size of normal, it's on an off the doctor said its due to lunesta (eszopiclone), true?

Unlikely: This is not a common side effect of lunesta (eszopiclone), (eszopiclone) especially with the amount of swelling you are reporting. Did the swelling start after you began lunesta (eszopiclone)? Does it go away if you do not take lunesta (eszopiclone)? I would probably investigate this further.

my mother is 62 years she started to have some leg ankle and feet swelling this summer. it comes and goes quickly. doctor did bloodwork which was normal, normal echo. the swelling came back last week. doctor said possible lyphadema?

: I do not think it is lymphedema. Lymphedema is a chronic condition not one that appears and disappears over a short period of time. Is very possible involving blood pressure and heart control. I would schedule an appointment with a cardiologist or internal medicine doctor

had fracture in leg foot on 2nd&3rd fingers.kept plaster for 24days.having swelling from ankle onwards now.cant see doctor as i stay in remote area.

Accepted Answer

Immobilize : Immobilize your fracture longer with plaster.  Takes at least 6-12 weeks for complete healing.
