can you get constipated from switching from laxative to laxative? i couldn't poop for one day, so i took senna laxatives for two days, took prune juice for three days, still couldn't poop and now i'm trying to take magnesium citrate on my fourth day?

Fiber and water: You may take a fiber laxative like Metamucil and drink enough water daily so that your urine is colorless. For the long term you may try to increase your intake of fiber foods. Consult this site for fiber foods.

MAGNESIUM: Prune juice, canned, the amount of magnesium in 100g/3.5 oz.  is 14 mg. The recommended daily allowance (RDA) for magnesium for adults is 310–420 mg depending on age and gender.

i took milk of magnesia which seemed to work somewhat but i still feel constipated so i had some prune juice. i was wondering if mom can cause hypnotic bowels 24 hours after use like magnesium citrate liquid does?

Milk of magnesia usually works between 30  min 6 hours.  Unclear when you took the prune juice in relation to the MOM.  To avoid constipation is drink plenty of fluids 2-3 liters a day  and have some high fiber food like greens, berries, sweet potatoes .

Constipation. : Are you uncomfortable? Are you having any abdominal pain? Are you distended in your abdomen? I would think that at this point you should see a doctor and at least have an x-ray of your abdomen. More than a week is a bit long to not have a bowel movement.

What?: Why did you take a medication not knowing what it does/is for? Magcitrate treats constipation. It usually is "effective" within 6 hrs, if going to see results. Can cause gassy/abdominal cramps and pain while it tries to make things move. Citric acid is in all citrus fruits, among many other things for flavoring and preservation.

Blood mucous: Go back to the er and have them evaluate you. There was a reason they gave you an enema. Blood per rectum could be serious or a minor problem. Without an evaluation, you will not know. Do so, as soon as possible.

Yes: I presume you are referring to a "fizzy drink" that contains magnesium. The fizziness does not matter.
