Can be bad: Nsaids are commonly used meds & can be obtained over the counter, so a great question! by themselves, they cause a change in an important chemical pathway that helps kidneys regulate their blood flow, so if someone has a problem already they can make it worse. Combining with some common BP meds, the ace inhibitors can cause kidney failure so be careful.Nsaids are a common cause kidney damage.

: There is something wrong with your kidney function. At you age, GFR of 60% for 3 consecutive years is apparently abnormal and the result in May 2022 of 109% was likely a lab error and the GFR of 59% in June is more accurate. Besides those risks you mentioned, there are many other causes of kidney disease. You should be evaluated by a nephrologist (kidney specialist).

It depends ..: Ideally you should minimize your use of NSAIDs in the setting of renal dysfunction but physicians are usually a bit more liberal about using some low( to a most moderate) dose NSAIDs with mild chronic kidney disease.  Steroids may be better for your kidneys but have their adverse effects too - think fluid retention, elevated sugars, anxiety provoking, worsening blood pressures, increased appetite.

NSAIDS and kidneys: All NSAIDS even the ones bought over the counter can cause kidney damage especially if taken for long periods of time or if you have underlying kidney disease.  None are safer than the other.  If you have chronic pain and are taking them for a prolonged period of time, you should have your kidney function monitored periodically.  Tylenol (acetaminophen) and aspirin are safe alternatives.

NSAID medication: They are in general all the same for both side effects and effects on the kidney. There is not one particular brand better than the other.  If one takes the recommended dose or lower there is less likelihood of trouble from these medications.

Prostaglandins (PGs): NSAIDs inhibit renal localized PGs that enhance the dilation of the renal afferent arteriole. That means that that normally, PGs keep the blood flowing nicely to the kidney. NSAIDs inhibit that effect, thus allowing less blood into the kidney resulting in injury. Elderly people are far more prone to this kidney injury than younger people, as the elderly have less reserve.

A few options : Acetaminophen is safe doses may provide some relief for general pains and aches. Depending on type of pain, topical analgesic cream/patches or local injection may be safe and effective. For severe pain from mass effect from the pcos, narcotic analgesics may have to be employed. Discuss with nephrologist/pain management. Certain nerve blocks may be an option.

Not sure.: All of the NSAID's carry approximately the same toxicity when given at equivalent dose.  The major concern is renal and not liver toxicity.
