hi, i have emetophobia so when i get loose stools i worry that i will get gastro. what are some other causes for loose stools?  i did have slightly spicy food for dinner last night and i also am lactose intolerant.

my 16 month old is aparently lactose intolerant having loose stools she's taking whole milk, tried lactaid & cause constipation, can she take nutramigen?

Yes but: Nutramigen should be tolerated but there may be other choices. Check with the pediatrician for the best solution to the problem.

my mother inlaw, started drinking almond silk in place of milk, due to lactose intolerance. she needs calories, due to weight loss, now she is experiencing diarreah since starting it. could this be from the silk?

Could be...: But there are many causes of diarrhea. If the almond silk is the cause diarrhea should resolve within a few days of stopping it. Prove that almond silk is the cause of diarrhea by drinking it after diarrhea has resolved. If loose bowel movements return promptly you will have a pretty unambiguous answer. Why not drink lactose-free milk?

Lactose Intolerance: I am assuming that when you say "can't have any more" I am assuming that you are feeling bloated and is unable to ingest any more. This may be related to increased distention of the intestine due to gas. However, there are other conditions that may cause this type of symptoms for which you should see your doctor.
